Entry Level Junior Accountant - Accounts Receivable Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Issue and send accurate invoices to clients/customers in a timely manner
- Monitor accounts for incoming payments and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
- Maintain and update customer billing records and account information
- Investigate and resolve billing issues or customer disputes
- Perform regular aging analysis and provide reports on AR status to management
- Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure billing accuracy
- Process credit memos, refunds, and adjustments as needed
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audits
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Entry Junior Accounting level
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in healthcare, manufacturing a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems
